Eden Corcovado is situated in an excellent location to discover the Osa Peninsula! Below are the activities that you can book with us, some of them are operated by local tour operators, where you will be picked up in the beach in-front of Eden Corcovado, others are offered and operated by us.

Corcovado National Park - San Pedrillo sector
This is a half-day tour to look for the wildlife of the Corcovado National Park in the San Pedrillo sector.
Duration & itinerary: About 6 hours: leaving at about 06:30 with boat, its about 30 minutes boat drive to San Pedrillo station, 5 hours walk and back with the boat.
Location: Corcovado National Park, San Pedrillo sector
Including: Local guide, boat transport, snack.
What to bring: comfortable walking shoes (no sandals), long pants, insect repellent, sun’s cream, 2 liters of water, hat, camera.
Cost: $95 per person

Please make your reservation before you arrive: There is a limited number of tourists allowed each day into the Corcovado National Park, therefore it is highly recommended to reserve your entrance as soon as possible, even few months ahead is not too early. You can do it online by yourself at SINAC website, and if you wish we can take help you with this procedure.

Bring re-usable water bottle: It is not allowed to enter into the Corcovado National Park with regular plastic bottles or food. Please bring your own metal or re-usable hard-plastic water bottle, with a space for at list 2 liters.

Corcovado National Park - La Sirena sector
This is a half-day tour to look for the wildlife in the heart of the Corcovado National Park in La Sirena sector. Here you have the biggest chance to see some of the big rainforest fauna, like Tapir, Peccaries, Coatis, Monkeys, Great Tinamou and Great Curassow among many others.
Duration: About 7 hours: leaving at about 06:30 with boat, its about 1-1.5 hours boat drive to La Sirena station (depends on the condition of the sea), about 5 hours walk and back with the boat.
Location: Corcovado National Park, La Sirena sector
Including: Local guide, boat transport, snack.

Isla del Caño tour
This is a snorkeling tour to the coral reefs of Isla del Caño (The Caño Island). Though the coral reef is not as good as the reefs you may see in some of the famous snorkeling sites, you still will see some coral and fish and might see Sea Turtles, Sharks, Dolphins along the way and between August-October (and with a bit of luck also in July and November) you might see the Humpback Whales who come to reproduce and give birth in these water.
Duration and tour description: About 5 hours: leaving at about 07:30 with boat, its about 45 minutes boat drive to the first snorkeling site where you will snorkel for about 45 minutes, then a rest at the island’s beach, another short boat drive for the second snorkeling site (again about 45 minutes snorkeling), and then boat drive back to Eden Corcovado.

Whale & Dolphin watching tour
The sea in front of Eden Corcovado & the Drake Bay area is excellent for Whale & Dolphin watching. Dolphins are very common and lives here year-round. Whales from the other hand have their own seasons:
Humpback Whales are the most famous ones, they come here to mate and breed between July and October. Between November to April there are some whales, of different species, but they are not so common and not always observed during the tours. During May-June you are likely to see only dolphins.
Duration: About 5-6.5 hours, starts at 08:00
Location: The ocean - moving around with a boat and searching for whales & dolphins.

Horse-riding tour

Duration: About 3 hours
Location: The rainforest near Eden Corcovado

What to bring: Comfortable clothes for riding a horse (long pants are recommended), swimming suite/ bathing clothes, towel, insect repellent, sun’s cream, 2 liters of water, hat, camera.

The following tours are guided by Nony, co-owner of Eden Corcovado. Nony has MSc in zoology and had specialized in ornithology and rainforest ecology. In former projects Nony have trained hundreds of youth to become nature & birdwatching guides in Peru, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Angola. We invite you to discover with us the secrets of this amazing ecosystem called the rainforest!
Rainforest ecology tour
The rainforest is the most complex terrestrial ecosystem, there are so many details around us that it is very easy to see it all as a big green mess, missing so many of the amazing forest treasures. In this tour we will try to open your eyes to the details of this ecosystem, to understand how different plants and animals are adapt to their habitat and discover examples of cooperation and competition between the different organisms of the rainforest.
Duration: About 5-6 hours, starts at 06:00

Rainforest trekking tour
This is a medium-level difficulty trek: we start at Eden Corcovado, walk to the limit of the Corcovado National Park through a relatively easy dirt road, then come back in a trail that will take us through some relatively steep up-and-downhills inside the rainforest until we reach back Eden Corcovado. The total trek length is about 10-15km.
Duration: Half a day / full day, depends on the rhythm, starts at 06:00

Birdwatching tours
We offer 2 kind of Birdwatching tours to discover the local birds of Eden Corcovado and the Osa Peninsula:
1. Short birdwatching tour within Eden Corcovado: aimed for nature lovers & amateur birdwatchers who would like to meet some of the tropical exotic birds. In this tour we will be looking for the beautiful colorful birds and not for necessarily for the rare ones.
Duration: About 2 hours (06:00-08:00)
Location: Eden Corcovado
Including: Guide with a telescope
What to bring: comfortable walking shoes / sandals, insect repellent, hat, sun’s cream, camera.
Cost: $25 per person

2. Half-day birdwatching tour near Eden Corcovado: aimed for amateur and professional birdwatchers. In this tour we will walk in a road inside the rainforest and will look for the different forest birds, both territorial and those hanging in mixed-groups.
Duration: About 5-6 hours, starts at 06:00

Photo session
We offer couples and individuals photo session at the beach / Eden Corcovado garden.
We specialize in filming nature & wildlife, and our equipment is aimed for this purpose. However, we can use this equipment also to take picture of people (Sony A1 camera & Sony 100-400mm lens). If you are interested in this option, please revise the photos at this gallery, so you can know what to expect for.
Duration: up to 2 hours, exact timing depends on light conditions (usually afternoon is better)
Location: The beach in front of Eden Corcovado / Eden Corcovado garden / both.
Cost: $100 for 2 hours photo session
Rainforest walking - do it by yourself (free)
If you wish just to walk around and enjoy the rainforest by yourself, you can do it easily! There is a trail that get into the rainforest near Eden Corcovado where you can walk for few km and even enjoy a bath in a little waterfall.
